Manifesto and Values

Jesus + Nothing = Everything:
A Manifesto for a Fresh Jesus Movement

Our Foundation

We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who created all things and invites all people into relationship with Him (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, John 17:3).

Jesus is God

We believe Jesus is God, the eternal Son who became human to reveal God’s love, live a sinless life, die for our sins, and rise again to offer eternal life (John 1:1-14, Colossians 1:15-20, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4). He is alive, reigning, and calling every person—Jew, Hindu, Muslim, Christian, skeptic, or seeker—to know Him personally as Savior and Lord.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit empowers and indwells every believer, guiding ekklesia to live out God’s mission, convicting hearts, and producing fruit that glorifies Jesus (John 16:13-14, Acts 1:8, Galatians 5:22-23).

The Bible is God's Word

We believe the Bible is God’s Word, inspired, authoritative, and sufficient, revealing Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life (2 Timothy 3:16-17, John 5:39, Hebrews 4:12). It guides us to follow Him in obedience and share His love with others.

Mission

We believe God’s mission is to reconcile the world to Himself through Jesus, and we are commissioned to share this good news, making disciples who obey His teachings and love others as He loves us (2 Corinthians 5:18-20, John 13:34-35).

Heart of Movement

The Heart of the Movement: Jesus + Nothing = Everything.

Jesus didn’t start a singular religion or a church system. He invited all people into a direct, living relationship with Him, free from the increasing complexity of human traditions. We endeavor to strip away the “Jesus +”—rituals, hierarchies, and cultural baggage—to rediscover the Everything: a life transformed by Jesus alone.

This movement is for:
  • The Disillusioned: Those hurt by religion or skeptical of its structures
  • The Curious: Those seeking truth beyond religious molds
  • The Faithful: Those who love Jesus and want to share Him simply and authentically

Vision

We envision a world where households, families, and friends gather as ekklesia — small, autonomous communities centered on Jesus.

These aren’t traditional western churches with programs or titles. They’re families on mission, living out Jesus’ love in homes, workplaces, and neighborhoods. Each group is autonomous, guided by the Bible and the Holy Spirit, free to follow Jesus in their unique context. We come together regularly in Family Network Meetings to encourage one another, learn from each other, and pray as one family, united in Christ.

Emphasis on Local Ekklesia

We believe ekklesia (the greek word often translated "church", literally "called out ones") is not a building or institution but a gathered community of Jesus-followers, united by faith, living as God’s family on His mission to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 16:18, Acts 2:42-47, Matthew 28:19-20). Ekklesia is people — YOU — called out to live for Jesus, wherever two or three gather in His name (Matthew 18:20).

DMM Process and Context

We draw inspiration from from global Disciple-Making Movements (DMMs) that multiply disciples through obedience-based, Scripture-centered communities.

Our sincere belief is that God is calling His people in this generation to a biblical and primal expression of faith and obedience, where every disciple is a planter of new ekklesia and every ekklesia will faciliate new disciples in a structure of multiplication and community.

These local expressions will find unique cultural form, often by people group and will not be dependant on a singular monolithic tradition. (Acts - all, Revelation 7:9-17).

Commitment

  • Jesus as Lord: We follow Jesus, God incarnate, surrendering to His leadership in all things (Philippians 2:9-11).
  • God’s Word as Guide: We obey the Bible as God’s inspired Word, discovering its truth together in community (John 6:45, 2 Timothy 2:2).
  • Ekklesia as Family: We gather as autonomous family groups, living as God’s family without titles or hierarchies, united by love and mission (Acts 2:42-47).
  • Prayer and Dependence: We commit to a life of prayer, trusting God alone to accomplish His work through us (Luke 10:2, John 15:5).
  • Inclusive Invitation: We welcome all—regardless of background or beliefs—to explore Jesus through His Word and Spirit (Revelation 22:17).
  • Multiplication: We empower every person to make disciples, starting new autonomous ekklesia groups (Matthew 28:19-20).
  • Justice and Love: We seek biblical justice, expressing in society, restoring wholeness, equality, and peace in our communities, reflecting Jesus’ kingdom (Micah 6:8).
  • Sexual Purity: We recognize that this aspect of life runs deep and handling this well is increasingly important in a culture where accepted norms are often counter to biblical wisdom and God's heart to us. (Acts 15:13-21)
  • Support through Circuit Riders: Recognized leaders, called circuit riders, will visit a number of autonomous groups to encourage, pray, and help solve problems, fostering connection, growth, and oversight without seeking to control (Titus 1:5, 1 Peter 5:1-3).

Our Rhythms

  • Autonomous Gatherings: Groups people meet anywhere—homes, coffee shops, parks—to pray, read the Bible, and share life. Each group is self-governing, led by the Holy Spirit and Scripture, with no formal titles.
  • Obedience-Based Discipleship: We read God’s Word, ask “What does this say about Jesus?” and obey it together, as DMMs practice globally (John 14:15).
  • Serving Others: We love our neighbors through practical acts—listening, helping, serving—showing Jesus’ heart (Luke 10:9).
  • Finding People of Peace: We seek those open to Jesus, inviting them to discover Him through Scripture and form new groups (Luke 10:5-6).
  • Family Network Meetings: We gather regularly as “The Family” to share stories, learn from one another, and pray, strengthening our unity in Christ.
  • Circuit Rider Support: Our circuit riders are recognized leaders who catalyze and encourage. They will visit groups to encourage, pray, and offer guidance, helping resolve challenges while honoring each group’s autonomy.

Bias to Action

You are the ekklesia. You don’t need a building, a title, or religious training to follow Jesus.

Start where you are:
  • Gather: Form an autonomous group with friends, family, or neighbors. Read a Gospel story (e.g., John 4), pray, and discuss what it teaches about Jesus.
  • Obey: Apply God’s Word in simple, practical ways, together.
  • Share: Tell others how Jesus is working in your life. Invite them to join.
  • Serve: Love your community through acts of kindness, reflecting Jesus’ love.
  • Connect: Join Family Network Meetings to encourage and be encouraged.
  • Seek Support: Reach out to a circuit rider for prayer or help with challenges.

The promise we seek is that Jesus + Nothing = Everything.

When you encounter Jesus—God Himself—through His Word and Spirit, you find life, freedom, and purpose. He is enough. He is everything.

Join this fresh Jesus Movement in our generation. Live as God’s family, guided by His Word, empowered by His Spirit, supported by circuit riders, and united in Family Network Meetings.

Together we will share Jesus with the world—simply, authentically, autonomously.
